.WS = WebSite opportunity... or should this rather be .BS = BullShit opportunity?

If you are into any online money making schemes, you might have come across the WS (Western Samoa) domains or as the domain name provider markets it WS = WebSite domains … the ‘Internet’s Hottest New Business Opportunity!’ ‘Income for Life’ (their www.freedom.ws site) etc.

We took a closer look at this system and in our opinion WS should trully be dubbed BS (=bullshit)
The way they operate is actually nothing new – typical pyramid scheme, where you have to lure in new members to make a buck, but your income will never be as high as promised.

The ‘developers’ of this system, i.e. the two guys with the Ferraris you can see on the web site want you to believe that:.
“Sign up 5, people, who sign up 5 people, who sign up 5 people…and so on down to the 5th level” and you won’t have to work for life.
I.e. you will have to pay just $10 per month for your domain, but the system supposedly works on autopilot and you will be making something like $3905 per month.
(i.e. $1 from each of the direct referrals = $5, and since each of them refers 5 people and there are 5 of them, you get 5x5x1=$25…and so on down to the 5th level = $3125 and if you sum this up you arrive at the above mentioned $3905)

W O W !!! Sounds great, easy and quite logical doesn’t it.?

But lets look at it from the other end.
Since you are getting $1 from each of the people in your downline till the fifth level, guess how many people that is? … exactly 5 + 25 + 125 + 625 + 3125.
You might think “So what?”
Well, did you think why these people joined the system?
Yes … you guessed it - each one of them also wants to make their $3905 per month, therefore each one is posting everywhere how great the system works and what a fortune they are making… two words … “BULL SHIT!”.
Math does not lie and with all these people posting this BS around, just thing of what are your chances you will be able to build such a huge downline.
.. Just think about, if each of them is to make the ‘estimated’ $3905… each one needs exactly those many people in their downline…and … 3905 x 3905 = 15 249 025…should I say it out loud … a total of OVER FIFTEEN MILLION PEOPLE!
According to current statistics, nowadays there is around one billion (i.e. this is the US not European billion which is called a Milliard – i.e. one with 9 zeros or one thousand million as some say) people with internet access worldwide.. How many of them do you think will sign up to such a system and then pay $10 per month. …each and every month…. and “for a lifetime’. One in one hundred? … One in one thousand? Guess what? the online ‘conversion ratio’ statistics (i.e. the number of people who respond to an add and actually purchase/’react’ on what is offered) statistics are even worse. But lets be optimistic and assume that this will be 1 in a thousand people will actually get involved in this system. This gives us

1 000 000 000 / 1 000 = 1 000 000 people!

Now let’s divide that by 3905 (i.e. the number of people you obviously need to make your $3905) and what do we get? B I N G O ! a Handful of 256 people who can make the claimed $3905.
… but the truth is, they won’t be making that for a lifetime, as a matter of fact, they probably won’t ever be making a fraction of that…and definitely not for long.
After all how many people do you think will continue paying the $10 per month if they are not making the money as promised …or as a mater of fact are not making even a fraction of that money.

You might say…”but some will buy a .WS domain or even a couple of these, just to have one for their web site – after all since it is a ‘new’ top level domain, there are still some great names ‘opportunities’ which have not been registered yet”.

True. … but why buy it through you for $10 per month, if they can go for example to
www.domains-tonight.com (one of the better domain name sellers – no wonder, considering they have some of the lowest prices on the market and that they are at the top of google search http://www.google.com/search?q=domains+tonight ) and buy one for $9.75 … PER YEAR! …or even only $8.95 if you decide to purchase one for 10 years!)

So how come these two guys drive Ferraris? Well they are on top of this ‘business’ pyramid
Besides, the system also works a little different for them. When you pay your $10 per month, 1$ goes to the person who referred you, $1 goes to the person who referred them, and so on… up to a maximum of $5 since this is as far as the referral system works. So depending on how many people are above you in this referral ladder, in the worst case they get the remaining $5 … or in the best $9 … and that’s from each and single person who joins this system!

Also you are providing these guys free advertising will all the people (or Companies) you bring in, but which will not be able to register the best (short and catchy … under 5 character name)names for $10 through you..
Instead, these people will search around the sites leading from your referral link and arrive at this:
http://website.ws/faq/pricing.dhtml …that’s right.......
Standard Domains (4+ characters) $35 (domains tonight – still <$10)
3 Character Domains (dog.ws, cat.ws etc.) $500 (well for an XXX.ws name this would be a great price, wouldn't it...but others... dog.ws ???)
2 Character Domains (ok.ws, tx.ws etc.) $1000
1 Character Domains (x.ws, 1.ws etc.) $50,000
Guess who gets to keep ALL the money from these sales :) "So how about all these 'successful'people I have seen in the videos and read the testimonials?" Hmmm? Could they be lying maybe? What do you expect them to say “Well…I have just signed up for this system where somebody told me I might make thousands a month, paying just $10 each month, I haven’t yet seen this money or even a fraction of it, promoting this system for the last few months. As a matter of fact so far I have spent more that I have been making, but hey, why don’t you also sign up to pay this $10 each month and perhaps you will have better luck”?
of course not, …You see them all running around yelling
“I have been making kazzilion dollars each month and this just keeps growing”, “I just bought my 5th yacht, private jetliner etc.”
… all I can say “well interesting buddy, how come I haven’t heard about your tremendous success on the news yet” Just look at this sample video of this couple on their web site http://freedom.ws/show_video.dhtml?sponsor=&language=english&handle=martyo
the guy just keeps on going about how great the system is etc. etc.
and the lady next to him just keeps nodding her head, but has the ‘What the f*ck is he talking about’ expression on her face … also did you notice her eyes open up when he mentions he was just able to purchase a new Harley, about which he was dreaming, and soon after she ‘hardly swallows’ the bit about the full dress cruiser …you can just feel what she’s thinking “why do you have to lie like this?”
These guys obviously don’t have good acting skills.

So, next time somebody sends you a link to this ‘great new income opportunity” tell them to shove it … and send them a link to this page instead. .. And if they continue insisting that this system works, help them and suggest some good psychiatrist, as they definitely need some denial therapy. ;)
